Think Pink!

Wow, we are coming to the close of the first month of 2012, time sure does seem to fly by these days. Valentines Day is just around the corner and in the spirit of the season I thought I'd go pink! Pink is a color that brightens my day, it's almost impossible for me to feel down when surrounded by a pink aura. I love the layout I found at The Cutest Blog on the Block and check out how well the elements from my Victoriana set go with the vintage look of the background!

I have been working on a few things so hang in there with me and hopefully you will be pleased with what you will find at LG Dezigns this year!

Wow, 7 days into the new year already. Time sure has a way of flying by. I hope everyone is off to a good start, I have had my typical stress filled week topped with a lovely bout of illness. But, I'm still hanging in there and finding time to create some things here and there.

Speaking of which, here are my latest creations...wallpapers! I have been trying my hand a bit at photo manipulations and think that these two came out pretty well. What do you think? You know I'd love to hear your comments!

I must say that I am especially happy with NeverMore as the Raven in the manipulation is one of the birds that I painted this summer! So thrilling to be able to use my own elements in things.

What's that..you want to know more about the birds I painted? Never fear, they should be making their appearance soon and available for all to use!

Good Bye 2011

The end of the year is upon us. Good, bad or indifferent it is almost time to wave good-bye to 2011 and say hello to 2012. A new year with new opportunities for everyone. What shall we make of it? Guess we will have to wait and see.

Until then I'd like to share a wallpaper that I made tonight. I found a tutorial but it called for finding pictures of planets, sky and mountains and I didn't want to have to hunt for copyright compliant photos to use so I just made all the elements my self. Feel free to snag it if you want.

Victoriana

I have long found the Victorian era to be fascinating, especially in terms of the fashions of the day. This element pack is a result of that fascination.

This pack includes a Dress Form, Lace and Feather Fan, a pair of Antique Shoes, an Antique Mirror and a beautiful Cameo.

Going commercial . . . .

That's right, LG Dezigns is going commercial, commercial use ok that is! I have been doing a bit of digital painting the past few months and have accumulated some bits and pieces that a few people have been asking to use in making scrap kits and after thinking, pondering, procrastinating, etc about it I have decided to offer them for commercial use.

The first set of elements up for grabs is a Christmas set. All the elements were digitally painted by moi and I hope that some of you can use them in your creations. Right now I am uploading the tagger size (500 px) but stay tuned...I also have the larger images that can be used and printed for any scrapbooking needs.

Let me know if you like what I am doing and if you use the elements please share your creations, I'd truly love to see what everyone comes up with that includes my art.

Hello friends! Long time, no see. Anyone else have a life that has become so hectic you are sure that you will meet yourself one day in your comings and goings? Wow has it been a busy season for me.

I have been browsing the stock images of Marcus Ranum and let me tell you he has some gorgeous photographs to look through. I am so excited that he allows the use of these images for other artists! I was struck by the beauty and simplicity of one of the photos and just had to see if I could create my own vision based on it. Here is my result. Please let me know what you think of her!

Sitting Pretty

Hope the new year is getting off to a good start for everyone. It's going pretty well for me so far. We've had some snow and cold weather and, in fact, are expecting snow and cold tonight. I guess that is what I can expect in winter. LOL.

Nightmares

I made this kit some time ago and had submitted it to a company but never heard back from them so...their loss is your gain! I am releasing it for use today. It was inspired by Nightmare on Elm Street and other horror movies. I think it is an unusual halloween kit and I hope you all enjoy it! I have included a bonus poser tube in the kit. I just have to show off some of the amazing tags & tuts that have been made from my kits and tubes.

First off is this gorgeous tag made using the American Cowboy kit. If you would like to have one of these beauties you can find the Photoshop Tutorial at giZZy's forum Rebel-Dezigns . She did an amazing job on both the tag and the tut!
The next tag & tut to show off is another by giZZy (I just love her! She is such a good friend and a most excellent tagger/tut writer) this one uses my Nouveau Kit and is simply awesome!

And finally we have the tag/tut by giZZy that features my Pink Sunshine kit. I made the kit based on a wish from my friend Fiona who wanted a kit that used pink and yellow together but wasn't having a lot of luck finding one. She wished, I designed, and giZZy created this masterpiece...

The Girl

Wow, time has just flown by. I can't believe that it is August already. Just wanted to let you all know that I have a couple of things in the works if you can just hang in there with me! I have been super busy with life the last couple of months but things are beginning to level out for me so that I can complete the things that I have started.

Hopefully it will be worth the wait when I get it posted on here!

Pink Sunshine

In a chat discussion this morning a friend mentioned that there are not that many yellow and pink kits around and that if you wanted yellow you usually have to look for autumn themes. I decided that the autumn shades of yellow, though lovely, did not usually work well with pink so I thought it was a good reason to create a kit for those who would like a sunny yellow palette.

And here it is! Pink Sunshine...
